Opening

Bholu:

(excited) Hello everyone! Welcome back to Everyday English Talks, the show where we chat about simple topics from daily life in a fun way. I’m Bholu.

Golu:

And I’m Golu.

Molu:

(cheerfully) And I’m Molu. Today’s topic is something we all love and sometimes hate: Travel & Transportation.

Bholu:

Yes! Travel is exciting, but transportation—well, that can be a story on its own.

Golu:

(laughs) True. Sometimes the journey is fun, sometimes it’s just… traffic jams.

Molu:

Or missed buses! Been there, done that. (laughs)

Conversation About Travel and Transportation

Why We Travel

Bholu:

Let’s start simple. Why do people travel?

Golu:

For me, it’s about taking a break from routine. Travel gives me new energy.

Molu:

Same here, but honestly, sometimes I travel just to eat different food. Like, I went to Delhi just for street food once.

Bholu:

(laughs) That’s a great reason! I travel to explore cultures and meet people. You can learn so much by just sitting in a café in another city.

Golu:

But don’t you think sometimes travel is stressful? Packing, tickets, delays?

Molu:

True, but the fun memories stay longer than the stress.

Modes of Transportation

Bholu:

Now, let’s talk about transportation. What’s your favorite way to travel—bus, train, car, or plane?

Golu:

For long distances, I prefer flights. They’re quick and save time.

Molu:

But airports can be stressful! Security checks, long lines… and don’t forget expensive coffee.

Bholu:

(laughs) Yes, airport coffee is robbery. Personally, I love train journeys. You can watch the scenery, walk around, and sometimes even make friends.

Golu:

True, trains have a charm. But they can also be late.

Molu:

Buses are my least favorite. They feel cramped.

Bholu:

But they’re cheap! For students, buses are a lifesaver.

Golu:

Cars are convenient, though. You can stop anywhere. Road trips are fun if you’re with friends.

Molu:

Unless you’re the one driving for hours! Then it’s not fun. (laughs)

Daily Commute

Bholu:

Speaking of transportation, what about daily commute—going to work or school?

Golu:

Ah yes, the everyday struggle. I drive to work, but traffic makes me crazy. Sometimes I spend more time in traffic than at my desk.

Molu:

I usually take the metro. It’s faster, but sometimes it’s so crowded I feel like a packed sandwich.

Bholu:

(laughs) I know that feeling. I prefer cycling when possible. It’s eco-friendly and keeps me fit.

Golu:

That’s nice, but in hot weather, cycling sounds like torture.

Molu:

True. You arrive at work already tired and sweaty.

Bholu:

(smiles) Still, it feels good to avoid traffic.

Funny or Memorable Travel Stories

Molu:

Okay, let’s spice this up. Do you guys have any funny or unforgettable travel stories?

Golu:

Hmm… once I missed my train because I was standing on the wrong platform. I waved at the train as it left, and people thought I was saying goodbye.

Bholu:

(laughs) That’s so relatable! I once lost my suitcase at the airport. Turns out I picked up someone else’s by mistake. Both bags looked the same!

Molu:

Oh wow! For me, it was in a bus journey. The driver stopped for tea, and I got down to buy snacks. The bus left without me! I had to chase it with a stranger’s scooter.

Golu:

(laughing hard) That sounds like a movie scene.

Bholu:

(teasing) So moral of the story: never trust snacks.

Molu:

Exactly! (laughs)

Traveling Alone vs. With Others

Bholu:

Another interesting point—do you prefer traveling alone or with friends/family?

Golu:

With family. I like sharing experiences. Also, someone else pays sometimes. (laughs)

Molu:

Honest answer! I prefer traveling with friends. It’s fun, and you can split expenses.

Bholu:

I actually enjoy solo travel. It gives freedom—you can do whatever you want, eat when you want, explore at your own pace.

Golu:

But don’t you feel lonely?

Bholu:

Sometimes, but I meet new people on the way. That makes it special.

Molu:

I guess it depends on mood. Some trips are better with company, some alone.

Travel Essentials

Bholu:

Okay, quick question—what’s one travel essential you never forget?

Golu:

My phone charger. Without it, I’m lost.

Molu:

Snacks! Always. You never know when hunger strikes.

Bholu:

For me, a small notebook. I love writing my travel experiences.

Golu:

That’s nice. I once forgot my toothbrush. Worst mistake ever.

Molu:

(laughs) That’s why I always pack an extra.

Public Transport vs. Private Transport

Bholu:

Let’s compare public transport and private vehicles. Which one do you prefer?

Golu:

Private. It’s comfortable and flexible.

Molu:

But expensive! Fuel, parking, maintenance… it adds up.

Bholu:

Public transport is budget-friendly and better for the environment.

Golu:

True, but sometimes it’s overcrowded, slow, and unreliable.

Molu:

Still, I think cities need more investment in public transport. It makes life easier for everyone.

Bholu:

Agreed.

Dream Destinations

Bholu:

Let’s dream a little. If you could travel anywhere right now, where would you go?

Golu:

Switzerland. I want to see the mountains and ride the famous trains.

Molu:

Japan! For the food, culture, and of course, cherry blossoms.

Bholu:

I’d choose Italy. History, architecture, pizza—it has everything.

Golu:

Now I’m hungry again. (laughs)

Molu:

Same here! Can this podcast sponsor our dream trips?

Bholu:

(laughs) If only.

Future of Transportation

Bholu:

Before we wrap up, let’s think about the future. How do you see transportation in 20 years?

Golu:

Maybe flying cars!

Molu:

Or self-driving taxis everywhere. That would be cool.

Bholu:

I think trains and buses will be faster, cleaner, and greener.

Golu:

Hopefully less traffic too.

Molu:

And affordable tickets, please. (laughs)

Closing

Bholu:

So today, we talked about why we travel, transportation choices, funny travel stories, and even the future of travel.

Golu:

We discovered that Molu chases buses, Bholu takes strangers’ suitcases, and I

wave goodbye to trains.

Molu:

(laughing) True! But that’s the beauty of travel—it gives us stories to laugh about later.

Bholu:

Absolutely. Travel is not just about destinations, but the journeys and the memories we make.

Golu:

Well said.

Molu:

That’s all for today’s episode of Everyday English Talks.

Bholu:

Thanks for listening, everyone.

All Together: Bye!
