🍳 Story: Rani’s Cooking Challenge

 (All Future Tenses Highlighted)

Rani is a 13-year-old girl who lives in a small town in India. She loves cooking and often helps her mother in the kitchen. She can make aloo parathas, paneer curry, and even sweets like gulab jamun!

One day, her school announces a cooking competition. It will be held next month, and students must cook one dish without help.

Rani is very excited.

“I will join the competition,” she tells her mother.

Her mother nods. “That’s great! You will learn many new things.”

Rani starts planning her dish. She decides to make vegetable pulao with raita.

“I will cook something tasty and healthy,” Rani says proudly.

Her best friend Neha asks, “What time will the competition start?”

“It will start at 10 a.m.,” Rani replies.

From the next day, Rani begins practicing every afternoon after school. Her kitchen turns into a mini cooking class!

“I will be trying different spices this week,” she tells her father.

She makes her dish again and again. Sometimes, it’s too spicy. Sometimes, the rice is not soft.

Her mother says, “Don’t worry. You will be improving each time.”

Rani takes notes in a small diary. She learns how to make her pulao smell and taste perfect.

By the end of the third week, Rani is confident.

“I will have practiced this dish ten times before the competition,” she tells Neha.

Her teacher says, “By next Monday, all of you will have submitted your recipe plans.”

Rani checks her calendar.
“I will have been cooking this dish for one month by then!” she laughs.

Her father smiles. “Yes, and you will have been learning new skills too.”

Finally, the big day arrives.

Rani wears a clean apron and takes her ingredients to school. She sets everything neatly on her table.

“I will be making my best pulao today,” she whispers to herself.

The judges walk around. They smile and taste each dish carefully.

Rani is nervous but happy.

After some time, the head judge comes to the stage.

He announces, “The winner is… Rani, for her delicious and healthy vegetable pulao!”

Everyone claps. Rani runs to the stage and gets her prize.

“I will never forget this day,” she says.

That night, Rani writes in her diary:

“I will always remember how hard I worked. Cooking will be my favorite thing forever.”
